Job Description


The Operations Supervisor is responsible for directing aspects of an Extended Business Office Billing, Payor Follow-Up and Remittance Posting Process. The Supervisor will report to the Operations Manager and assist with providing guidance and oversight to a staff of 20-25 representatives whose primary functions involve Billing, Insurance Follow-up, and Payment Posting as part of the Revenue Cycle Process.

As a member of the Leadership Team the Supervisor will help ensure that the development of the account representatives is facilitated, design and execute customized project strategies, drive daily staff production, generate overall project revenue and manage client expectations/work standards to achieve both superior performance for our Clients and financial performance for Alltran.



  1. Ensuring the development and training materials for the billing staff are accurate and updated, conducting account audits, and successfully coaching the billing staff according to each client’s expectations.
  2. Assist with the designing and executing project workflows and strategies to ensure superior liquidation/performance for Clients and financial performance for Alltran
  3. Manage daily interaction with clients to enhance and support project goals.
    • Assist with Implementation of new projects/clients
    • Involved in setting goals and expectations of each project
    • Reviews regular KPI’s/reports on results of project and discusses with client
    • Travels on-site to client for implementation, training and production meetings as required
  1. Driving daily production efforts of client teams and providing direction and accountability for Billing Staff to ensure work effort is maintained for superior performance.
  2. Leading and motivating Billing Staff to achieve team and individual collection goals.
    • Monthly Group Game plans
    • Creating motivational themes and incentives
    • Pacing meetings with Operations Management to provide weekly leadership and feedback on the team and group collection performance.
  1. Maintaining client’s system back end setup.
    • Provider setup
    • Back End edits/rules
    • Maintain and Monitor Clearinghouse
  1. Providing feedback to Operations Manager on the effectiveness of client specific workflow and strategy and providing input on potential strategy improvements.
  2. Performs other duties as assigned with positive attitude and passion for growth, development and success.

Job Requirements


  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive supervisor experience in the Medical Billing Industry. Physician Billing required, Hospital billing a plus.
  • Expertise working collaboratively to design and implement industry best practices for revenue cycle processes and strategies.
  • Strong goal setting skills and habits
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Capable of working 50-60 hours per week possibly including weekend shifts monthly.
  • Capacity to learn and adapt new strategies to develop, motivate and lead employees.
  • Ability to work with confidential information. Understand and comply with all HIPAA and all other privacy guidelines and regulations.
  • Adept at time management and proven prioritization skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word required.
  • Expertise with E Clinical Works (eCW) and claims clearing house applications preferred.
