Contact Services Representative


The Alltran Health’s Contact Services Representative provides service to client’s members and providers. This role is responsible for gathering patient information and providing accurate solutions to inquiries from inbound callers. The Contact Services Representative receives healthcare related questions such as:

  • Eligibility effective coverage dates
  • Identification card requests
  • Appeals
  • Co-pay inquiries
  • Claims and status updates
  • Pre-authorization requests


The hours of operation for this position is currently 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday. Full-time and part-time positions are being offered, and scheduling restrictions may be considered.

Essential Job Functions

  • Answers incoming phone calls, primary via an ACD system
  • Performs follow-up keyboarding and clerical functions to ensure caller and client requests are met
  • Disseminates facts and information designed to keep callers informed of relevant information
  • Ability to problem solve member and provider questions with a strong attention to leaving detailed documentation in client CRM tool
  • Able to adhere to strict healthcare regulations
  • Keys data recording updates to caller names, addresses, telephone numbers, other pertinent information
  • Refers caller suggestions and/or complaints to appropriate departments or management
  • Supports standards of conduct, respect for diversity, and safety practices
  • Follows company guidelines as described in the Alltran Handbook and Alltran Policy Guide

Job Requirements


  • 1 year data look-up or data entry experience 
  • 2 years of experience in customer service involving complex analytical problem-solving skills
  • 1 experience in a call center with emphasis in a customer service or medical industry
  • Ability to demonstrate telephone etiquette skills
  • Must be able to complete and clear a background check 


  • An approved equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical scheduling is preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage tasks based on established criteria 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision, within a team setting and be supportive of team members
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office  
  • Ability to analyze issues and make judgments about appropriate steps toward solutions

  • Time management and sound decision-making skills
